Currently Available for Adoption

If interested in adopting one of our amazing METTA dogs, please fill out the screening form below. Adopters must live in central FL, preferably within an hour of Lake Mary, and be at least 23 years of age. We require a home check, reference verification, and a meet n greet with all family members, including pets. Adopters must own their home if adopting a bully breed. Adoption donations are $100 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies (under 1 year old). All our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, have medical clearance, preliminary vaccinations, a registered microchip, and a lot of love to give.

Pups in Progress

The dogs listed below are currently under the care of the rescue. Some dogs may not yet be ready for adoption due to medical reasons or we are still getting to know their personalities. While others might have a pending adoption or are in our foster-to-adopt program, meaning once they are ready for adoption, their foster family will be adopting them.

Hospice Dogs

Perhaps due to age, medical issues, or a combination of factors, these dogs will live out their remaining time under the care of the rescue in their loving foster homes.

Friends of METTA

The Friends of METTA re-homing assistance program was created to help reduce the number of dogs in our local shelters and/or given away to unfit homes by assisting pet owners in re-homing their dog in a responsible way.
We do not personally know these dogs, nor are they under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their owners who will work with you directly via Adopt-A-Pet if you are interested in their dog.
